Maria Elena Bello
Maria Elena Bello (born April 18th, 1967) is an American actress, producer, and writer. Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (99), Coyote Ugly 2000, The Cooler 2003, A History of Violence 2005, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor 2008, Grown Ups (2011), Prisoners (2013) and Lights Out (2016) were just some of her film roles. Bello was on TV as Dr. Anna Del Amico (1997-1998), along with other prominent roles like Michelle McBride (2016 season), and Jacqueline Sloane (2017-2021) on NCIS. Bello was born April 18, 1967 in Norristown in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Kathy who was a school nurse and teacher as well as Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She was raised in a working-class, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. She studied political sciences at Villanova University. Bello continued to train in acting through participation in numerous New York theatre productions. Bello was married to Dan McDermott and has a son who is named Jackson. Bello admitted in November 2013 that she had a same-sex affair with Clare Munn, her former partner. She published a book called Whatever...Love Is Loving: Examining the labels we give to Others (Dey Street Books - April 28, 2015).
